Welcome and blessings in the Lord Jesus Christ!
The Diocese of the Resurrection is a small, but mission-minded, group of churches centered in the northeastern United States. Our churches are strategically located in Pennsylvania and New York, very close to major metropolitan areas, such as Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and New York City.
Our mission is to be Christ to our world, living in the Eucharistic Presence of Jesus Christ in union with our Bishop, loving God and our neighbors on mission to a world in need, learning the Holy Scriptures and the Apostolic Faith, and leaving a godly legacy to the next generation, firmly rooted in the ancient English Catholic tradition of the Church.
Our parishes include Holy Comforter in Poughkeepsie, NY, one of the oldest Anglo-Catholic churches in America; Incarnation in Quakertown, PA, which is our diocesan cathedral, as well as the pro-cathedral of the Anglican Rite Province; and Our Savior, a mission parish in beautiful Lancaster, PA. Also, one of our clergy ministers on the Philadelphia Mainline to the disabled and the elderly as he teaches on the University level.
Our vision for the future is to provide for the spiritual formation of our laity and clergy as well as reach our world, neighbor to neighbor, town to town. Our parish names embody this vision. In full reliance upon the Holy Comforter and trust in Our Savior, Jesus Christ, we seek to be the Body of Christ -- His Incarnation -- to those who have found themselves wandering in the path of modernity.
From humble beginnings, we seek to grow and expand our mission, starting new mission parishes, and, in cooperation with other like-minded churches, expanding the Kingdom of Jesus Christ to the Northeastern United States.
